Academic Credits and Transcripts
The ESC recommends that you obtain pre-approval from your home institution for transfer credit for all courses taken abroad prior to the start of the program. Please consult with your home institution’s Academic Advisor and/or Dean.
At the end of the term, the ESC Academic Director issues final grade reports to the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, which indicate the course title, hours of instruction, recommended semester hours of credit, the grade earned abroad along with a U.S. grade equivalency and/or a grade conversion chart.
The University of the Incarnate Word creates a transcript which will be forwarded to your home institution. (Upon successful completion and regular attendance of the courses, you will receive a transcript for 15 US semester credits for the semester program or 6 US semester credits per summer term.)
Students who take courses at SRH University Heidelberg will receive a transcript directly from the host institution, and the ESC Academic Director includes a suggested U.S. grade equivalency and/or grade conversion chart.
