PARENTS AND GUARDIANS
Welcome to the ESC "Parents & Guardians" Information Section
Study abroad can possibly be one of the best and most rewarding experiences for your child. But we also know that letting your child go thousands of miles away to study abroad can be worrisome.
We have designed this section to answer many of your questions and concerns about studying abroad at the European Study Center (ESC) in Heidelberg. It is supposed to be a resource, mainly for financial and health and safety issues.
Whatever your child's goals are, the ESC provides the supportive and positive learning environment, helps her or him to adjust to the new culture and surroundings, and provides options to make the most of her or his semester or summer abroad.
KEY BENEFITS OF STUDY ABROAD
- Opportunity for personal, academic, and professional growth
- Enables students to develop maturity and independence
- Encourages global thinking
- Increases sensitivity to other cultures
- Helps building a global network of friends and colleagues
